Update The Royal Welsh Way
I will confirm this but it looks likely that April 16th at 2pm will be the time and date for the official unveiling of The Royal Welsh Way.
The event will be held in the grounds of Bodysgallen Hall. I am hoping that the Unveiling will be done by 1 veteran, 2 soldiers from Blind Veterans UK and a serving Soldier/Officer.
In attendance for the Ceremony will be an assortment from the Regiment including the Goat Major and representatives who have made this project happen including Gareth Davies who contacted me via Facebook to see if we could name a road after the Regiment.
It is fair to say that this small project has captured the attention and support from across Wales and I am really pleased to have been able to have progressed it.
My thanks to all involved.

The Royal Welsh Way
This is one of the eight signs that are now hot off the production line. On the top left hand side you have Conwy County Borough Council's coat of arms and the top right hand side is the Royal Welsh regiments Cap Badge.
There will be an official unveiling on the 16th April (to be confirmed). This has been a very rewarding project and I would like to thank the following for making this happen:
Cllr Merfyn Thomas
Cllr Philip Evans
Cllr Graham Rees
Glan Conwy Community Council
Conwy Town Council
Officers Conwy CBC
Royal Welsh Regiment
For their support:
Cllr Sue Shotter
Cllr Meirion Hughes
More to Mention at the unveiling.

Ffordd Y Cymry Brenhinol - The Royal Welsh Way
The order for naming a section of the A470 has been signed and now as you travel north up the A470 from the A55 to the Roundabout at Marl Lane just before the Bodysgallen stretch, you will be travelling along The Royal Welsh Way.
Phase 2 will be the naming of the Bodysgallen stretch up to the St David's College Roundabout, Wormhout Way.
I am really pleased with this project and the idea came from a resident in my ward via Facebook.
Official unveiling sometime in April. I will update via this blog.
Thanks to all involved.

West Shore & Kinmel Bay Wind Blown Sand
I can confirm today that Conwy County Borough Council's Environment Department has received a Marine Consent License, this license will now enable us to redistribute the wind blown sand below the high water mark at certain states of the tide (Spring Tides).
This will hopefully assist with the problem of the sand blowing around as at least it will get wet twice a day!!!
I have asked that we deal with this issue before the Easter Break. We will also monitor the situation.
