I can today confirm that Conwys Environment department was awarded four green flags for our parks and gardens, also our Countryside services retained a green flag for the Great Orme country park & Local Nature Reserve. My understanding is that Conwy is now Joint second in Wales for these prestigious awards. Green flag to me demonstrates our excellent parks and the facilities within them and the flag is proof that they are also nationally recognised as being up there with the best in the UK, more importantly to me these parks have management plans to continuously improve and manage them into the future.
The Parks are:
Wynn Gardens Old Colwyn (Retained)
Queens Gardens Colwyn Bay (Addition)
Bodlondeb Conwy (Addition)
Happy Valley Llandudno (Retained)
Great Orme Country Park & Local Nature Reserve (Retained)
My thanks go to all our staff, local volunteer groups and residents for making this happen.
Are these management plans available to view online? If not, can I ask why not?
