Milk & Alcohol

Is There any wonder as to why we have so many problems in our society today, sad but true some alcohol is cheaper than milk.

  1. It is not just the price that is the issue here. It is the total lack of self respect and common decency.I dread to think how society as a whole will be in twenty years time. This fact needs front page of national papers; then action to be taken. Dreadful fact; our throw away society even includes human life. We need to look back to 1939 a time when our nation was great and all pulled together. We fought and victoriosly won against greater odds.

  3. When a pub landlord can buy drink cheaper in a supermarket than from his wholesaler it's clear that something's got to change.

  4. Colin,

I have heard that time and time again and I agree with you that something has to change and change soon.

  5. Minimum pricing for alcohol would seem to be a step in the right direction - there should be parity between Pub prices and Supermarket/Off Licence prices.

The pub trade would certainly benefit as there would no longer be the incentive to buy from the supermarket and sit at home drinking. It would also make a little more difficult for the under age drinkers to raise the cash to buy large quantities of alcohol to drink on the streets, in the parks etc.
