Chancellors Debate
You have heard of the Leaders Debate, should it be followed by the Chancellors Debate?
Even if such programmes were not watched by many, the media would pick up the salient points and then we are all better informed.
The only down-side is that such debates favours those who talk a good talk. In the media age people like Attlee would have got nowhere, and yet no-one questions his effectiveness, even if they disagreed with his party's policies.
